SUMMARY:Fall migrants at Roslindale Wetlands Urban Park
DESCRIPTION:A small but mighty urban wild that offers a variety of habitat. Expect to see a variety of woodpeckers\, resident birds\, warblers\, and other migratory species\, as well as a surprise or two. The path is flat with a mix of gravel and dirt surfaces with newly added boardwalks on the wetter sections. Boots are strongly advised.

SUMMARY:Arlington Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:In the fall water levels are lowered creating good conditions for ducks and shorebirds. We will also visit the adjacent Lexington community farm. Birds are found feasting on the remains of the crops planted there. We will walk about a mile on wide paths and some uneven ground (possibly muddy). Note that the reservoir area is a public park and people walk dogs here frequently. Cosponsored with Menotomy Bird Club.

SUMMARY:Squantum Point Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us to observe resident birds and early fall migrants in a unique urban habitat that is a favorite for many bird species\, including uncommon and rare birds. A BNC naturalist will help us find and identify birds through field marks\, sounds\, and behaviors. Birders of all levels will enjoy these guided walks; beginning birders are encouraged to come! The trails are flat and easy to walk. Hats\, waterproof footwear\, insect repellent\, and sunblock are recommended. \nThe walk is free but all participants must pre-register by emailing cgeorge@massaudubon.org and copying neil.calabro1@mac.com. Please note that participants must be at least 13 years of age and this outing is limited to 30 people.
