SUMMARY:Half Day Pelagic out of Gloucester
DESCRIPTION:We have arranged a private charter with 7 Seas for a half day pelagic trip on October 24 out of Gloucester harbor. This trip will be dedicated to searching for pelagic seabirds in offshore waters although we may also see sea mammals or other sea life during the trip. \nThis trip will sail rain or shine. \nFood and beverages will be available for purchase on board. \nCost: $60 \nThis is a reserved private charter. Cancellations are limited to emergencies and incur a small cancelation fee ($5). If weather causes the captain to cancel\, full  refunds will be issued to all participants. \nMeeting time: 7:30am check-in for 8am departure. \nMeeting spot: 7 Seas Whale Watch\, Seas Wharf\, 63 Rogers St\, Gloucester\, MA. There is parking close to the boat dock (pay at a kiosk – all day for about $5). \nWe hope you will join us! \nNote: if you were registered to go on October 17\, you should have had an email from jedmondson@brooklinebirdclub.org. SUMMARY:BBC Fall 2024 Pelagic Trip Registration - now open!
DESCRIPTION:Join our November 2024 pelagic trip!\nSaturday\, November 2 (rain date November 3) \nJoin the fun on another pelagic trip with the BBC! We have chartered a private trip with 7 Seas Whale Watching Tours to search for pelagic birds in the waters around Stellwagen Bank. With the help of onboard spotters we hope to see lingering shearwaters\, jaegers\, early alcids\, and possibly skuas\, while keeping an eye out for any late marine life. The 7 Seas sailing vessel has an open observation deck for easy viewing and an indoor salon. Snacks and beverages will be available for sale\, and there are restroom facilities on board. Metered parking is at several lots near boarding dock. \nIn the event the trip is postponed due to weather conditions\, we have planned an alternative date of November 3. You will be notified in advance and will automatically be reassigned to that day\, no need to re-register. If we are unable to sail on November 3 too\, all participants will be refunded their ticket cost. \nThis trip is open to everyone\, and requires a minimum number of participants to sail. Sign up early and spread the word!
