SUMMARY:Roslindale Wetlands Urban Park
DESCRIPTION:A small but mighty urban wild that offers a variety of habitat. Expect to see a variety of woodpeckers\, resident birds\, warblers\, and other migratory species\, as well as a surprise or two. The path is flat with a mix of gravel and dirt surfaces with newly added boardwalks on the wetter sections. Boots are strongly advised. A visit to nearby Peter’s Hill in the Arboretum is an option afterwards if others feel inclined.

SUMMARY:Franklin Park: Overlook Ruins\, White Stadium & Bear Cages
DESCRIPTION:We will look for warblers\, vireos\, orioles\, and other spring migrants in the northern section of Franklin Park\, covering the Overlook Ruins\, White Stadium\, the Bear Dens\, and the Playstead. Beginners welcome and encouraged. Limited loaner binoculars available. Terrain will be mix of paved and unpaved paths and grassy fields and we’ll walk up to 1.5 miles. Co-sponsored with the Franklin Park Coalition and Franklin Park Tennis Association.

We will search on foot up to one mile\, on flat\, easy terrain for Osprey\, breeding and migrating passerines\, American Oystercatcher\, and other specialty shorebirds at this birding hotspot and state Park. Expect to move to different locations by car or bicycle. Program is often not MBTA accessible. Prepare for mosquitoes and ticks.
