DESCRIPTION:Join us to observe resident birds and spring migrants in a unique urban habitat that is a favorite for many bird species\, including uncommon and rare birds. Birders of all levels will enjoy this walk The trails are flat and easy to walk. Be sure to wear a hat and waterproof footwear and pack water. Insect repellent and sunblock are recommended.\nThe walk is free but preregistration is required. Please preregister by emailing cgeorge@massaudubon.org and copying neil.calabro1@mac.com. Registration is limited to 30 people.

SUMMARY:Weston Station Pond and nearby Mass Central Rail Trail
DESCRIPTION:Discover a quiet hotspot with miles of trails and a lot of birds! The diversity of habitats in and around Weston Station Pond make it a great spot to look for migrants in May ranging from warblers to waterfowl to shorebirds to others. In addition\, a Great Blue Heron rookery ensures that even if it’s a quiet day for migration that there will be something awe inspiring to look at. Expect to walk about 3 miles in total on a combination of dirt and paved trails. Dirt trails could be muddy depending on conditions. There are no restrooms available at this location.
