DESCRIPTION:This will be an exciting trip with the occasional surprise. Mourning Warbler has always been a specialty of this trip. Enjoy the warblers and other neotropical migrants we observed during spring migration. Co-sponsored by the South Shore Bird Club. This trip will end around 3 p.m. then reconvene for dinner and an evening trip to Post Farm Marsh\, Lenox. Target endangered breeding species: Pied-billed Grebe\, Common Gallinule\, Blackpoll Warbler\, Mourning Warbler.

We will search on foot up to one mile\, on flat\, easy terrain for Saltmarsh Sparrow\, shorebirds\, terns\, and breeding marsh birds at this Birding Hotspot and state park. Expect to move to different locations by car or bicycle. Program is often not MBTA accessible. Prepare for mosquitoes and ticks. SUMMARY:Join the Massachusetts Young Birders Club at Cumberland Farms\, Halifax
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Cumberland Farms in Halifax on Saturday\, June 15 for a family friendly bird walk with Mass Young Birders and the Brookline Bird Club! We will be exploring the ‘Cumbies’ area in search of breeding birds including some infrequent nesters such as the state listed species of concern Eastern Meadowlark. As we walk\, we will focus on the different behaviors that we are seeing and what they may indicate at this time of the year. We will\, of course\, keep an eBird checklist as we go\, and we will explore how we can use eBird to keep track of bird behaviors in addition to the species’ we are seeing. \nExpect to walk 2 or more miles through flat but possibly overgrown terrain.
