We will look for shorebirds and will keep our eyes out especially for uncommon species like Stilt Sandpiper and White-rumped Sandpiper. We will then move to the beaches in Winthrop to search for American Oystercatchers and other shore-nesting birds before they disperse for the fall.

Come look for nighthawks at a scenic site close to Boston. The area is also good for occasional owls.
We will drive and walk leisurely around the agricultural fields and meadows between Ipswich and Essex looking for Glossy Ibis, Eastern Meadowlark and other grassland specialties of the area.
We'll start at Winthrop looking for peeps and White-rumped Sandpipers and move to Belle Isle Marsh to look for Stilt Sandpipers, dowitchers and possibly grassland birds like American Kestrel.
