SUMMARY:Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge\, North Gate Entrance
DESCRIPTION:Explore the bird diversity of the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge.  We walk along White Pond Rd (Trail)\, searching for both resident and migrant songbirds and raptors. Some notable species previously observed at this location include Cooper’s Hawk\, Barred Owls\, and numerous species of warblers and other migratory songbirds. The habitat is mostly forested\, with some wetlands\, fields and scrubs along the way. The terrain is mostly flat and leveled\, mix if pavement and sand and gravel. Cosponsored and led by US Fish & Wildlife Service staff.
