Four day trip to the Machias area in northern Maine. Arriving in Machias on Friday afternoon, 6/29 and departing for home on the morning of Tuesday, July 3.
We will charter a boat to Machias Seal Island for nesting Atlantic Puffins, Razorbills,
Common Murres, and Arctic Terns. We will explore numerous locations in
scenic Washington County for boreal species such as
Spruce Grouse, Boreal Chickadee, Gray Jay, Black-backed
Woodpecker, crossbills, Olive-sided Flycatcher, and nesting
warblers. We will also bird marshes for nesting Black
Terns and Nelson’s and Saltmarsh sSparrow. Additionally, we will search for Upland Sandpipers and other birds in the extensive blueberry barrens.
Cost is $185 for BBC members, $200 for nonmembers. Details sent in
