During the September 2nd broadcast of Weekend Saturday Edition on NPR hosted by Scott Simon, he interviewed Ray Brown of Ray Brown’s Talkin’ Birds radio fame. During the interview about Urban Birding, when asked, “What does a city dweller who’d like to be a birder – I can’t believe I’m asking a question like this – what do they need to get involved?“, Ray cited the Brookline Bird Club as a example of a bird club that leads lots of walks and was easy to join.
